Advanced Youth Football Plays and Playbooks
When coaching older, more expereinced players, age 12-14 it is very important to continually challenge them. Your players are at an age were if they get bored they will lose focus and really start making beginner level mistakes, even though they could run those basic level plays in their sleep.
As the coach it is your job to help them maintain focus and a great way to do that is by challenging them with new plays. We can help you with a large selection of playbooks we have used for ages 12-14 and they work.
There are several factors to take into consideration:
- Age and Skill Level of players
- Size and Speed of offensive players
- Number of potential skill players (RBs,WRs,TEs,QBs)
- Your own offensive philosophy (running attack,passing,balanced, etc.)
- Strengths and Weaknesses of the opposing defenses.
Having the knowledge, experience and time to really look at all those factors can really overwhelm most youth football coaches who are mostly volunteers and work a normal full-time job outside of coaching.
